Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is a process of learning and development in which an experienced person, that is a coach, supports a learner or client (coachee) with either achieving a specific personal or professional goal, overcome an obstacle or face a challenge in his/her life.

Coach vs. Therapist?

The primary difference between a therapist and a coach is that therapists tend to focus more on the past or present while coaches tend to focus more on the present and future.

What does a typical coaching session involve?

Coaching session typically last between 45 mins to 60 mins. During the strategy session, your coach works with you to identify your goals by asking you certain questions. Once your goals are clarified, you will work collaboratively with your coach to explore positive changes and actively work towards achieving your goals. Sessions are confidential, allowing you to freely explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.

How long will I need a coach?

The number of sessions you need may vary depending on where you are and what you hope to achieve. Some clients with one or two specific issues may be able to achieve their goals in as little as one to three months whereas others with a variety of issues may take anywhere from six to 18 months.
